Welcome!
I am Jessica Hudson, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in treating teens and adults who may be experiencing anxiety, PTSD/trauma, depression, or working through life transitions. I am trauma-informed, trained in EMDR, and I incorporate CBT, DBT skills, mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients work through their various struggles. I am an affirming therapist who works with a variety of clients, meeting them where they are and finding the right therapeutic intervention for their specific needs. I provide a warm and accepting environment where clients can feel safe processing through their stressors, concerns, or trauma without fear of judgment.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas in 1999 and masters in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in 2001. I obtained my professional license (LPC) in 2004 while working at the Dallas County Juvenile Department, providing individual, group, family, and crisis counseling to youth who were involved in the juvenile justice system. Over the past 20+ years, my experience has included working with teenagers experiencing behavioral problems, children and teenagers in the foster care system, individuals struggling with substance abuse/addiction issues, and adults with a variety of therapeutic goals and concerns. I am EMDR-trained and use this evidence-based therapeutic intervention to help individuals heal from trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, phobias, depression, and anxiety.
